California here we cooooooooooome…

Things are heating up now. While the Coffee in Good Spirits, Cup Tasters, and Roaster Championship reach the midway point of their Qualifying Event rounds, the Barista Championship and Brewers Cup are ready to crown their next champion, and it’s all going down this weekend at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California.

For three days, coffee professionals from around the country will descend upon Orange County, some looking to claim their spots at Nationals in Portland, others looking to book a longer flight: to the World Coffee Championships in Melbourne this May. And of course, Sprudge will be there all weekend long bringing you up-to-the-minute coverage via our competitions portal Sprudge Live, Instagram, and with the triumphant return of our live-tweeting of each and every US Barista Championship routine. It’s as close as you can be to the action without making the trip to the OC yourself.

And for those lucky enough to be in attendance, we’ve compiled a handy little field guide for Coffee Champs weekend. Be they competitor schedules or all the night’s biggest parties, we’ve got you covered. We’ll be updating this list throughout the weekend as more events pop onto our radar, so make sure you are checking in. And do make sure you are following us on Instagram and Sprudge Live on Twitter to stay on top o the latest goings on.
