party

Heading to Austin this weekend for Coffee Champs? You are in for a fun few days. There’s a ton to do in Austin that isn’t Coffee Champs-related (more on that later this week), and there will of course be a few post-competition coffee folk gatherings to fill your weekend. We’ve compiled a list of all the coffee shindigs happening in Austin this weekend for your partying convenience. We’ll update the list as we hear about more.

Veracruz All Natural will be providing the free noms in the form of delicious, delicious tacos.

SATURDAY

US Latte Art Throwdown Preliminary (6:30-9:30pm)

Want to pour milk into a cup to win the chance to pour milk into another cup… in Seattle? Then you, my friend, are in luck, because the US Latte Art Throwdown preliminary round is taking place this Saturday at Stouthaus Coffee Pub, with the winner earning free entry into the US Latte Art Throwdown happening during the opening ceremony of this year’s Expo in Seattle later this April.

It’s a 64-person single elimination earning not only a guaranteed spot in the National round but also the full buy-in prize, which if my math serves me correctly and 64 times five is still 320, is $320 cash money (or bones or clams or whatever you call them).

Stouthaus will have select beers for $3.50 as well as deals on pizza from next-door Neapolitan style pizzeria Cane Rosso.
