The 2026 Build-Outs of Coffee are still raging white hot, but alas all good things must come to an end and so too will this year’s Thrill of the Build. But we are not going quietly into the fall. We’ve still got a handful of new cafes to feature this year and we know there are even more out there. And it is with those cafes in mind that we want to nudge, remind, and generally make aware that the last day to submit your Build-Out for 2026 is this Monday, August 17th.
We’re accepting build-out submissions for new cafes that opened at any point in 2026. We are also accepting submissions for cafes presently under construction, with plans to open at any point in 2026. Entries are welcome from any corner of the earth, big cities and small towns, mobile units and bricks-and-mortars, and all point in-between.

We are going to continue to feature new cafes as part of the Build-Outs of Coffee into the month of September, which means there’s room in this bent tent for everybody. But only for those who apply. Your cafe need not be finished in order to take part but your entry must be, so act now and be part of this year’s incredible selection of new and remodeled coffee shops.
