It’s that time again: a magical time, a holiday time, a time for breaking bread and breaking crusts, as we survey and surmise the very finest of holiday coffees in the specialty roasting pantheon.
We’ve long celebrated the cultural conceit of holiday coffees here at Sprudge, but last year we kicked things up a notch, inaugurating a new holiday coffee cupping tradition on the Coffee Sprudgecast, our popular bi-weekly try-curious (because we try lots of stuff) podcast program. Last year we cupped 17 (!) holiday coffees and this year we think we can beat it, and then some, but we need your help.
Please send us your holiday coffees for 2025! The more puns, the better. They can be specific holiday themed—Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza—or they can be non-denominational, or geared around a more paganic worship of the changing of seasons. This is one of the finest and most distinct traditions in all of coffeedom, and something that firmly plants specialty coffee’s flag as a culinary and seasonal delight. Last year’s roster was incredible, and we’d love to see your coffee company represented in this year’s offering.
