Coffee is a multifaceted phenomenon, appreciated and expressed in distinct ways across every corner of the world. Some geek out on flavor, while others go deep on sourcing, processing, and roasting. And then there is the thriving world of coffee equipment: the whizbang doo-hickeys, the kit, the accoutrements that help coffee lovers, coffee hobbyists, and coffee professionals make coffee better. For full-time coffee lifers these are tools of the trade; for the rest of the coffee-loving world, they’re manifestations of a hobby that’s more like a passion.
For those about to brew, we present Coffee Gear, a new bi-monthly feature series (and permanent homepage feature) curating the very best in coffee equipment from around the world. Sprudge works closely with a small group of select partners to discover the coolest, the newest, the very best in coffee paraphernalia, from grinders to scales to espresso machines, and all points in-between. This project is inspired in part by the Sprudge Roaster’s Village, which features a curated selection of recommended coffees for purchase, with guidance from our many outstanding roasting partners. (A full list of Sprudge partners is available on the bottom right hand side of this, and every, published feature on Sprudge).
We launched Coffee Gear earlier this year, and so far we’ve been really blown away by the response. This twice-monthly feature series includes fine products from Acaia, Dwell Dripper, MiiR, La Marzocco, Slow Pour, Difluid, TIMEMORE, and Ceado, with many more on the way. Twice a month we turn to our partners for coffee gear recommendations they’re most excited about, serving up a curated series of some of the most interesting coffee gear offerings available from talented manufacturers across the globe. If you shopped every piece of gear from this weekend’s collection, you’d wind up with a killer home coffee set-up that included a grinder, a scale, a home espresso machine, and a nimble home brewing device, all from industry-leading brands.
We’re excited to watch this new program grow and evolve, and if you’re interested in learning more about the program, please get in touch. Looking for somewhere to help you figure out coffee gear? Come join us on Coffee Gear!
