World of Coffee is kicking off in San Diego this very day and there are so many things, too many really, to keep track of them all. But try me must nonetheless. And our friends over at Califia Farms are certainly keeping up busy to that end. They are chockablock full of shindigs, hangs, throwdowns, art activations, and all manner of good time both in and out of the convention center all weekend long.

Espresso State of Mind is teaming up with Califia Farms to host a live 32-person Latte Art Throwdown on April 10th, right on the expo floor at the Califia booth #4052
Our throwdown is officially set—the bracket’s full and we’ve got an incredible lineup of baristas ready to go. Swing by the booth, grab a spot, and come watch what they can do. It’s going to be fun, high-energy, and a great chance to support the community and see some serious talent in action.

Join us right after the show at Chances Coffee for a 30-barista bracket, single-elimination latte art throwdown. This fun, high-energy competition brings the community together for some friendly competition and good vibes before we head over to the Opening Night Party. Come cheer on the baristas, connect with friends in the industry, and kick off the night the right way. It is right across the street from LaFayette Hotel.

We’re kicking things off the right way at Lou Lou’s Jungle Room—and you’re invited. Opening night is all about bringing the coffee community together with great music, drinks, and that electric first-night energy you only get at World of Coffee. Come hang, meet new faces, reconnect with old ones, and celebrate what’s going to be an unforgettable weekend.
For the party we’ll have:

Hosted by Longplay Hi‑Fi and sponsored by Califia Farms, this Art Opening Reception is a late-night, culture-driven kickoff during World of Coffee. From 7–11pm, guests can experience a curated menu and bar program alongside a live DJ set, all set within Longplay’s signature sound-forward space. The night also features a sponsored art exhibit on display for 90 days, with the first 25 Califia passport guests receiving a limited-edition serigraph from the San Diego Printmaking Society—bringing together coffee, music, and art in one unforgettable evening.
