Located in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood, the newly opened Astro Coffee has leaped to the top of our list of must-visit new shops in 2011. Currently featuring offerings from Ritual, Intelligentsia and Sightglass Coffee Roasters, with samples from Handsome Coffee in the house as well. Open for just under a month and run by Sydney ex-pats Daisuke Hughes and Jessica Hicks, the space is making waves in the Detroit media – check out this recent write up in the Detroit Free Press.
