As fans of coffee and analog things, we’ve been pretty keen on the timepieces created by Brew Watch Co. (We even included them in one of last year’s holiday guides.) Their wristwatches have coffee in DNA and do so in fun ways without being schticky. And they look incredible. It’s this last element that Brew Watches has cranked up the dial on even further with their latest release. The Retrograph Stone Blend is a limited release watch, and the face draws inspiration from milk pouring into coffee.
Announced last week, the Retrograph Stone Blend is limited to just 250 pieces, each one being completely unique. The dial is made pietersite, a rare quartz gem also known as “tempest stone” due to the swirling patterns within it that form naturally as different minerals break apart and reform. When used in a timepiece, the result is a one-of-a-kind design.
The watch is driven by a 9015 automatic movement originally created by Citizen. Around the dial is a 38mm gold case and is finished with a brown pebble grain leather band.
What is missing from the Retrograph Stone Blend is the espresso shot timer normally found in watches from Brew Watch. They’ve instead chosen to be extremely minimal in the design and let the watch speak for itself. And it screams coffee in a way that doesn’t scream coffee at all. But it doesn’t really need to. It’s frankly just a gorgeous watch.

It will also run you a pretty penny. Retailing for $775, it is one of, though not the most, expensive offering from Brew Watches. Even so, in less than a week since it became available for purchase, nearly all of the 250 pieces have been scooped up. Not like that’s the limiting factor though. They could make a million of them and I still probably’d never have one.
But still, we don’t need to own things to enjoy them from afar. We can appreciate the craftsmanship and the shared interests even with we’ll never actually possess one. But it would be pretty cool if we did.
