I’m old enough to remember when there was only one type of AeroPress. It was called the AeroPress. It was compact, plastic, inexpensive, and no frills. It was a revelation for on-the-go brewing. These days you’ve got big AeroPresses and little AeroPresses and glass ones and steel ones and colors galore. I’m not complaining or anything. I think it’s great. We’ve all grown up and so too has the coffee maker that was this close to being another frisbee.
And now as our older and more mature selves, we may be looking for an AeroPress with a touch of elegance, a little je ne sais qois, For this there is the all new AeroPress Premium Walnut. It’s the AeroPress I imagine Frank Lloyd Wright would use.
Released yesterday, September 28th, the AeroPress Walnut is the latest in the brand’s high-end Premium line. Like with other Premium AeroPresses, this latest brewer is constructed from double-walled borosilicate glass, 304 stainless steel, and aluminum, and features laser-etched markings for accurate measurement. The star of the show for this AeroPress is the walnut plunger and collar ring. Even the scoop and stirrer are solid walnut.
Meanwhile AeroPress’s hand grinder is getting a walnut update, trading in the aluminum handle and grinds catcher cup for a wooden alternative.

The premium AeroPress comes at a premium price and currently retails for $249.95.
