Until recently, the AeroPress has gone mostly unchanged since its creation in 2005. The lineup began expanding in 2019, with the miniature AeroPress Go. It has only been in the past few years that things really started to take off. There was the AeroPress XL and AeroPress Clear in 2023, the Go Plus in 2024 (as well as a new pink colorway and the borosilicate AeroPress Premium), and then last year it was the Clear XL as well a smartly-designed hand grinder.
Here in 2026, the company is showing no signs of slowing down with the latest brewer to their lineup, the AeroPress Steel.
Announced today, February 25th, the AeroPress Steel looks to bring thermal stability to the iconic brewing device. Created of 304 stainless steel, the new AeroPress is “professional grade double-wall, vacuum-insulated” for better heat retention while brewing, which in the press release they state “[gives] coffee enthusiasts even more control over their brew.”
Coming in two color options, Stainless (silver) and Black Stainless, the AeroPress Steel touts a 20% larger capacity than the standard AeroPress, up to 12oz from the traditional 10oz.
“Our new AeroPress Steel 3 in 1 brewer showcases AeroPress’ design and engineering capabilities,” states AeroPress CEO Gerard Meyer. “We’re challenging the assumption that compact manual coffee makers must trade off elevated materials, durability, and ease of use. AeroPress Steel brings all three together—purpose-built for life on the move, with the confidence and feel of a truly elevated travel brewer.”
The all new AeroPress Steel is currently available for purchase on the AeroPress website for $169.95.
