Looking for something to do this weekend? Perhaps something coffee-related? Well then are you ever in luck because the coffee event calendar this weekend is chock full of festivities from around the globe and right where you are. That’s why we are perusing the Sprudge Coffee Events Calendar to bring you some of the cool goings on this weekend to keep you well caffeinated.
Perhaps the biggest thing going this weekend is Coffee Fest in Minneapolis. The last of the event in the series for 2024, Coffee Fest Minneapolis is taking over the Minneapolis Convention Center October 11th and 12th for two days of new products, learning opportunities, and networking. And one weekend isn’t enough coffee action for you, Mill City Roasters is hosting a kick-off party on Thursday, October 10th. There will be food, there will be drinks, there will be prizes. Just make sure you RSVP. It’s gratis!
Continuing with the learning bent, the Specialty Coffee Association’s Educator Summit is heading to Houston on Saturday. Created with the coffee instructor in mind, the event “will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and connections you need to succeed.”
Or maybe art is your thing. If so, then the Art of Espresso exhibit might be right up your alley. Currently showing now through February at the Museo De Café in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the exhibit celebrates Italian espresso through the machines and servingware that has made it possible.
Sunday also happens to be the start of Pittsburgh Coffee Week, “an annual series of coffee-themed community events organized by coffeehouses, roasters, and organizations affiliated with Pittsburgh’s coffee industry.” There are too many festivities to list, so check the link to find out what’s going on all around the Steel City.
But what if you don’t live in Minneapolis or Houston or Sao Paulo or Pittsburgh? Then grab your bike and take part in International Coffee Outside Day. Hosted by Ride with GPS, there are bike meetups taking place with weekend around the globe to ride bikes, “hand-make coffee, enjoy snacks and meet with friends, outside.” And if there’s not one in your area, you can make one!
It’s going to be a full weekend, and that’s just the start. Keep an eye out for more events this month in Albuquerque and Chicago and even in cyberspace!
