Mill City Roasters’ popular hands-on Roasting 101 course is coming to Canada! Join us for class on November 11th and 12th.

Mill City is partnering with KW Coffee Collective, a shared-roasting facility in Kitchener, Ontario. We are excited to host an onsite roasting course at the KWCC location to increase accessibility to Canadian students. This class is open to both US and Canadian roasters and there is no previous roasting experience required to attend.

The two-day roasting class will include hands-on roasting on MCR-10 Commercial Roasters, guided group cuppings, and green coffee evaluation. All of Mill City’s classes are rooted in collaborative learning techniques with student-driven discussion. Learning at a certified roasting facility like KWCC will afford students the ability to learn more about the tools, technical requirements, and layout needed to operate a safe and efficient roastery. The course covers all critical roasting skills from greens sourcing and selection to profile design, machine control, sensory evaluation, and basic roaster maintenance. A certificate of completion is awarded to every student.
