The coffee scene in Florida is coming on fast. Its latest edition is down in Ft. Myers, in the southwest corner of the state, where Take Two Coffee has grown from a backyard trailer to a charming new coffee bar in the heart of town. Here you’ll find great coffee, fresh donuts, and a come-as-you-are attitude to making coffee accessible to everyone. Let’s learn more!

For those who aren’t familiar, will you tell us about your company?
Take Two started in a trailer in Hunter’s backyard—just a couple of friends with a vision and a fresh start. After over a decade in the coffee industry, this was a new venture for us—something smaller, more personal, and more intentional. What began as a backyard project has grown into something way bigger than we imagined: a shop in downtown Fort Myers, wholesale roasting, catering, equipment sales and service, and consulting for others chasing the same dream. Through it all, our heart hasn’t changed. We care about doing things well, serving people with purpose, and—if we’re doing it right—leaving them just a little better than we found them.
Can you tell us a bit about the new space?
Our new shop at 3594 Broadway in Fort Myers is a cozy, 800-square-foot-ish space with a retro feel—orange, teal, and white throughout. It’s a small space with a big heart. We’ve designed it to be warm, welcoming, and full of intention. Great coffee, fresh donuts, and a little room to breathe.
What’s your approach to coffee?
Help make fun coffee’s approachable and remove some of the pretentiousness that can be found in specialty coffee.
Any machines, coffees, special equipment lined up?

How is your project considering sustainability?
From the beginning, we’ve aimed to build Take Two Coffee with intention—not just in how we serve people, but in how we care for what we’ve been given. Sustainability for us isn’t a marketing angle; it’s about making wise, lasting choices. We keep our menu tight to reduce waste, roast in small batches to ensure freshness and efficiency, and source coffees with integrity—from producers who are committed to quality, stewardship, and fair practices. In our shop, we use compostable packaging where possible, limit single-use plastics, and encourage reusable cups. It’s not perfect, but we’re building a business we’re proud to hand off to the next generation—one small, thoughtful step at a time.
What’s your hopeful target opening date/month?
We opened in May of 2025.
Thank you!
Thank you!
