Welcome back to A Better Table on the Sprudge Podcast Network, hosted by Umeko Motoyoshi. In this episode of A Better Table, Umeko Motoyoshi interviews Arielle Rebekah, the founder of Trans and Caffeinated. Trans and Caffeinated is a blog, an Instagram page, and a podcast dedicated to uplifting the “trans and queer community and also to educate cis folks about trans and queer issues.”
Umeko Motoyoshi asks about Arielle Rebekah’s start in coffee, their inspiration behind starting Trans and Caffeinated, and what their favorite part of the job is. What’s their favorite part? “Meeting people,” Rebekah tells Motoyoshi, “hands down—especially meeting trans people and especially getting to meet new people to interview, getting to hear someone’s story…hearing someone share a part of their story that I’ve never heard before is just such a beautiful moment because they’re sharing this intimate part of themselves, yeah, with my audience. But in that moment that we’re recording, they’re sharing this intimate part of themselves with me. It’s such a blessing. I love that.”
