The calendar is looking pretty full right about now. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, along with the immediate post-Turkey Day holiday buying frenzy, but before we go full food coma, there are three new World Coffee Champions to crown. This weekend in Taiwan the World Coffee in Good Spirits, World Latte Art Championship, and World Roasting Championship will descend upon the Taipei International Coffee Show.

Beginning November 17th, over 60 national coffee champions from across the globe will make their way to the Taipei World Coffee Championships for their shot at the title. Thousands are expected to be in attendance in person, with even more following along the livestream, which can be found on the Taipei World Coffee Championships page. Per the press release, the livestream schedule is as follows:

Saturday, November 18
12:30pm China Standard Time: World Latte Art, Round One
12:30pm CST: World Roasting Championship

Sunday, November 19
10:30am CST: World Roasting Championship

Monday, November 20
12:30pm CST: World Roasting Championship
1:00pm CST: “The Theory of Coffee Value Assessment” with Chad Wang

These three events are the last of the 2023 World Coffee Championship season to be crowned, following World of Coffee Athens in June where the first four event took place.

So before we all start looking ahead to 2024, or the merciful completion of 2023 for that matter, it’s time to turn our attention to Taipei for one last weekend of riveting coffee competition action. It all takes place November 17th through 20th at the Taipei International Coffee Show.
