This weekend is Seattle CoffeeFest, and it’s kicking off on Thursday night with a ginormous party at Seattle’s own Neptune Coffee (8415 Greenwood Ave N). The event starts at 7:45 and is free to the public. The buy in to pour costs $5, and there’s only 32 spots total, so get there early to secure your placement.
There’s also going to be a $5-per-ticket raffle between pours, every last dime of which will be donated to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Raffle winners can snag some truly dope prizes, including:
- an Espresso Parts pitcher rinser.
- an Espresso Parts custom steaming pitcher
- Japanese latte art savant Hiroshi Sawada’s not-yet-released brand new book!
- and the grand prize, a Stella di Caffè Pony home espresso machine!
Hiroshi Sawada himself will be judging the throwdown, and your very own DJ Sprudge will provide the ultimate rap battle soundtrack. Boo-yah!
