And then there were six. After three days of intense coffee action, the 2024 World Barista Championship has come down to just six competitors. From a field of 53 national champions representing five different continents, the judges have been tasked with whittling down the list to just 16 for the Semi-Finals and then again for the Finals. And whittle they have.
The last six competitors standing will get a final 15 minutes each to make their case for why they should take home the title of World Barista Champion. It’s anybody’s game. Any of these very deserving Finalists could be the last one standing. But even making it this far is an accomplishment in and of itself, so before we turn out attention to tomorrow’s festivities, let’s take a moment and celebrate those who made it this far. Here are the Finalists for the 2024 World Barista Championship in Busan, South Korea.
