For the coffee obsessive, there’s a romantic notion to roasting your own coffee at home. You’ve already got your brewing setup dialed and roasting is another way for you to take control of what ultimately ends up in your cup. Unfortunately, that romance comes to a crashing halt at the first sight of the a sample roaster’s price tag.

Luckily, Royal Coffee is making one person’s roasting dreams come true. The Bay Area green coffee exporter is raffling off an Aillio Bullet R1 V2 sample roaster with all the proceeds benefitting Grounds for Health.

Announced via the Royal Coffee website, the raffle is casting as wide a net as possible in hopes of raising as much as possible for Grounds for Health, a non-profit organization “benefitting women in coffee-growing regions of Ethiopia and Kenya.” To that end, they have opened up to the contest to the entire planet, save for Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine due to shipping issues into the countries currently at war. Entry to the contest is easy. Just purchase a $10 ticket via the Royal Coffee website or email thecrown@royalcoffee.com showing the receipt for a donation directly to Grounds for Health made during the month of September. And each $10 donation is really worth $20, as Royal has pledged to match all donations up to $25,000.

The winner will receive a Aillio Bullet R1 V2, a very fetching 1kg capacity home/sample roaster of their very own. The winner will be selected at random and be announced on October 1st at the Roasters Championship Preliminaries taking place at The Crown in Oakland. There’s no limit to the number of tickets you can buy to increase your odds of taking home the $3,500 roaster. And even if you don’t win, you got double your money’s worth in donating to a very worthwhile cause.

For more information or to purchase a raffle ticket or 10, visit Royal Coffee’s official website.
