La Marzocco has been on an absolute heater when it comes to collabs. Theyโve created custom espresso machines with Porsche, RIMOWA, and Aimรฉ Leon Dore, they have a mobile coffee bike as well as a road bike, both with Specialized, they even made a chefโs knife with Cut Throat Knives. And the streak continues with their latest collaborative creation. La Marzocco has teamed up with Victorinox, the makers of the Swiss Army knife, for a limited-edition Barista Tool.
The Swiss Army knife is iconic. I still remember my first one and how it somehow made a Boy Scout camping trip and cutting twigs, aka whittling, an exciting experience. But itโs more than just ephemera, the Swiss Army knife is a hardworking multi-tool that has been around since the 1800s. And thanks to this new collaboration with Victorinox, thereโs a Swiss Army knife made specifically for the working coffee professional.
As reported by WeRSM, the 19-function tool comes equipped with many of the Swiss Army knife standards, including two blades, a corkscrew, screwdriver, bottle opener, pliers, toothpick, and tweezers. It also has espresso machine-specific tools, like the โcoffee spatulaโ used to pry out the basket from the portafilter. It also has a nozzle remover for steam wand tip removal and replacement.
The Barista Tool comes in the iconic Swiss Army knife red, featuring both the Victorinox logo and the La Marzocco lion as well as โLa Marzoccoโ written across the other side.
The limited-edition Victorinox X La Marzocco Barista Tool retails for $145 and is available via Victorinoxโs official website (where it is currently on backorder) and La Marzocco retailers worldwide, per WeRSM. For more information, visit Victorinoxโs official website.
