We’re relentless in our pursuit of unrivaled coffee. So we’ve partnered with Bellwether Coffee and are roasting our coffee beans in house.

We’re particularly proud that our new roaster is an electric, ventless, zero-emissions commercial coffee roaster. With coffee being one of the most consumed beverages across the globe, we’re committed to doing our part to protect our planet.

Tell us more about your approach to roasting.

We do all our roasting in house. Beans are sourced responsibly with a focus on farmer-centric pricing, creating ongoing relationships with the farmers, focusing on gender equality, investment in the farm communities and transparency.

What is the neighborhood like where you’re located? What’s some other cool stuff nearby?

3 Cups has two locations:

Holladay – this is our original location and is located in the heart of Holladay. Holladay is a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah, with a population of just over 30,000. This is a growing community that is passionate about staying connected. Located near mountain and canyon sites, the city offers plenty of relaxing ways to stay active.

Woodbine – this is our newest location located in the up and coming popular Granary District in downtown SLC. The shop is located inside the Woodbine Food Hall and offers a fun and unique experience for coffee lovers and foodies alike. The Granary District is one of Salt Lake City’s oldest neighborhoods. Having provided many industrial and commercial uses over its history it is now being re-discovered as a maker’s space housing artists, breweries, restaurants and businesses of all types and sizes. It is quickly becoming SLC’s most vibrant neighborhood.

What’s something cool or unique about your cafe you want folks to know?

We make everything from scratch from roasting our coffee beans, making our syrups, to baking and cooking soups. We were the first local coffee shop to offer workshops for the community, and wine and beer along with coffee. We were also the first to create an evening space that goes beyond coffee with a PM menu that includes a build your own charcuterie board. We also offer live music on Friday nights and fun workshops on Monday evenings.

We also focus on creating a community space that is inclusive and feels like home.

Thank you!
