Remember fun? It was the thing we all used to have when we would get together in groups for our silly little coffee competitions? Sure, some people started to take latte art throwdowns a little too seriously, but the competition was never really the point. It was the hangs and the good times. With their new competition, Glitter Cat is getting back to the point of it all: fun.

Introducing the brand new Sniff-i-tition (stylized SNiFF-i-TiTiON). Fresh off the wild success of the Sprudgie Award-winning Digitition, Glitter Cat is hosting “the largest scratch and sniff competition of all time.”

Focusing on low stakes and a high fun factor, the new Glitter Cat Sniff-i-tition will put your olfactory skills to the ultimate test, in the silliest way possible. The Sniff-i-tition is open to all who are willing to put their noses out there. Each participant will be sent a scratch-and-sniff game card featuring 25 different aromas, ranging from “fruits to herbs to flowers to spices to vegetables and everything in between.” A word bank of 40 possible answers will also be provided. Competitors are then tasked with matching the 25 scents with their correct word bank answer. The winner is the person who gets the most right!

For their hard work, the winner will receive a “swag package from Glitter Cat, including some limited release items typically reserved only for Glitter Cats that go through their signature bootcamps and training programs.”

In order to make this a truly global affair, the Glitter Cat team has chosen scents from around the world, and participants can request a game board translated into any language of their choosing. And because there is no more universal language than social media, participants are encouraged to record their scratchiest, sniffiest efforts and share them with Glitter Cat via Instagram.

Registration for the Sniff-i-tition goes through Monday, February 1st, and every person who registers will receives a game board. Registration is completely free, though there is an option at check-out to donate an amount of your choosing, which you should do. Per Glitter Cat, a registered non-profit, that money goes to pay Glitter Cat employees and contractors. For more information or to sign up for the Sniff-i-tition, visit the Glitter Cat official website.

Happy sniffing!
