Memphis’s Cxffee Black is finishing up an investment campaign via WeFunder in order to expand the brand’s operations and reach. They have already raised an astounding $322,000 but are making one last push before the campaign closes in a week. And they are doing that in true Cxffee Black fashion: with a limited release merch drop.
For this latest shirt, Cxffee Black has teamed up with Stephen Satterfield and Comoco Cotton, a sustainable textiles company described as “the world’s first Black cotton supply chain.” The unbleached cotton t-shit is then dyed using coffee from “the world’s first Black coffee supply chain,” ie Cxffee Black’s Guji Mane.
The throwback inspired image on the shirt proudly avers that “God don’t make no junk cxffee” and that it “don’t need no cream.” Only 60 total shirts in the limited run will be printed.
You can get your hands on one in one of two ways. First, you can be one of the first 30 to invest $1,000 or more in the Cxffee Black WeFunder, which along with the shirt will get you equity in the company. But not everyone has a cool $1k sitting around, and those folks can try to snag one of the other 30 shirts that are being sold directly via the Cxffee Black website. For $85, the shirt also comes with ships with a “Guji Mane Dime Bag and free [download] of Cxffee Makes You Black Album.”
So whether you’re looking to snag a little equity or just some sweet swag, the new Cxffee Black shirt may be just the thing you’re looking for.
