It’s officially, 100%, undeniably the holiday season here at Sprudge, and that means showing off the very best gifts from the world of specialty coffee—from bundles that excite to mugs that keep us warm, plus special selections for the nerds, eggheads, and Chosen People in your life. But today we want to show off a gift selection that does more than look good; it does good.
Our longtime friends and partners at Cafe Imports have partnered with a couple of cool key collaborators for a new benefit project called Hats For Health. That “Hats” part of Hats For Health is quite literal: this project is focused on a limited edition chapeau designed as a shared effort between Cafe Imports, Ebbets Field Flannels, Leatherworks Minnesota, and Phenom. The resulting five-panel option (in “Travel grey” with a burgundy wool underbrim) is available for $49, and that includes shipping in the United States, Australia, and Europe.
But the best part is $25 from each sale goes directly to Grounds For Health, a non-profit NGO that helps improve women’s health around the world by focusing on the preventible disease of cervical cancer. A registered 501(c)(3) organization, Grounds For Health has focused their work on women working in a variety of global industries, including coffee, cocoa, and tea.
The connection to coffee goes one step further, as each cap comes with a custom salvaged burlap adjuster tag made from Brazilian coffee jute. Edges for the adjuster tags have been hand-stitched by the folks at Phenom, a clothing boutique & screen print design crew with locations in both Twin Cities.
Last but certainly not least, the husband and wife team at Leatherworks Minnesota have contributed a heat embossed Cafe Imports logo on the front of the hat. Made from die-cut natural leather, this part of the garment will develop a tasteful patina with repeat use and exposure to the elements.
It’s a talented selection of brands, coming together for an international good cause. You can order yours today by visiting Cafe Imports online. Act quick before these hats sell out—unlike the good vibes this project gives us, supplies are limited.
