Sprudge contributor Joanna Han scouted the Washington State Convention Center throughout the 2015 World Barista Championship tournament, on the lookout for fashion-forward attendees. In a sea of brew bros in blazers and classic-fit slacks, these fashionable coffee denizens stood out in fine style.

How would you up your style in a few words? Old man in a young body?
Pants: I’m not sure of the brand, but I got them from a shop in San Francisco near Ritual Coffee’s outdoor kiosk.
Shoes: Wolverine 1000 Mile.
Bag: I bought this in Rome. I used to have another bag but my girlfriend told me it was so ugly so I had to buy a new one.
Who are you rooting for? I came to root for my fellow Norwegian Alexander Hansen, but I also support Kalle Freese and Charles Babinski!
Dima Hamati, corporate chef at Muddle Me, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
How would you describe your style? I like timeless pieces—pieces I think I could wear in 25 years. I don’t want my future kids to look at pictures of me now and think I look dated. I also don’t like anything too tight—I like loose, casual clothing that are well-fitted in the shoulders.
Who are you here to support? “Dima” Griekhov. How would you describe your style in a few words? Reluctantly grown up.
How are you rooting for? Oh, it’s gotta be Maxwell Colonna-Dashwood. For my country, Maxwell, but also, Charles—he’s a fantastic friend, he’s supported me, he’s hosted me, he’s given me whiskey. Maxwell and Charles! How would you sum up your style in a few words? Danish—but not New Nordic.
Who are you rooting for? Babinski! What’s one word to sum up your style? Classic. Describe your style: Practical. I dress for what I do for work. Shirt: Kamakura Shirts How would you sum up your style? I like everything to have a little bit of a story.
Who did you come to support? Charles. How would you describe your style. I love mixing Italian and Japanese styles.
Who are you rooting for? Sasa Sestic! How would you describe your style? Professional but comfortable. I travel a lot for work so everything has to be comfy and easy to take and wear on an airplane. Describe your style. I like casual, functional, and comfortable clothing, and I like layering.
Who are you rooting for? I should probably be being more diplomatic, but…Team Babinski all the way. Joanna Han (@joannakarenina) is a Sprudge.com contributor based in New York City. Read more Joanna Han on Sprudge.
