It’s coffee competition season here in the United States, and that means that Sprudge is out on the road, bringing you comprehensive coverage of every Regional Barista Competitions and the United States Barista Championships, all in the lead up to the 2015 World Barista Championship in Seattle, WA. The Big Western Regional kicks off our new SprudgeLive coverage, with the competition entering it’s third and final day right now in Rancho Mirage, California. There’s already been some great highlights:

Akaash Saini of Seattle’s Visions Espresso and Morsel was named the 2015 NW Brewers Cup champion.

Sarah Anderson of Intelligentsia Coffee was named the 2015 SW Brewers Cup champion.

12 people competed on Day One of the Barista Competition, with a heavy California showing, and tons of personality.

 19 people competed on Day Two, with many Washingtonians, reigning champ Charles Babinski and a PUMPKIN SPICE SIG DRINK.
