Seattle! Oh fair city, with considerable aesthetic advantage over all those other population centers, we know that you know a thing or two about coffee. But what you don’t get often–indeed, what nobody in North America gets–is a chance to cup coffees and revel in brand packaging from a plethora of Australian specialty roasters.

This is because:

1. Australia is really far away!

2. Have you seen how much shipping costs from Australia? It’s like, a lot.

3. There’s so much delicious coffee being roasted in Australia right now that it’s kind of hard to know where to start.

But lo, Seattleites, your friends at La Marzocco USA and Sprudge.com have sourced a workaround to these and many other problems that plague you, coffee enthusiast that you are. On Wednesday, October 1st please join us at the La Marzocco USA headquarters in Ballard for a cupping showcase non pareil, a veritable bevy of delicious coffees procured from the La Marzocco staff in Australia and delivered to the La Marzocco staff in Seattle. Sprudge.com will be there because honestly anyone within driving range would be dumb to miss this.

Some of the coffees being cupped will include offerings from St. Ali Family, Coffee Supreme, Market Lane, Small Batch, Proud Mary, Seven Seeds, Code Black, Single Origin Roasters, Allpress Espresso, White Horse Coffee, Neoma Coffee, and more! It is incredibly rare to have access to these coffees here in North America, so this should just genuinely be a treat for everyone with a clearable calendar or solid afternoon work excuse.

This event happens at 3pm on October 1st at the La Marzocco USA headquarters (1553 NW Ballard Way, Seattle). Admission is free, and you can RSVP here on Facebook. Multiple Sprudge editors will be on site to answer any questions you might have about these Antipodean coffee brands, and/or talk Mariners playoff baseball (if applicable).

But that’s not all! Sprudge readers in Australia can enjoy a similar chance to taste coffees from across the Pacific next week at La Marzocco showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. LM USA has gone ahead and swapped coffees from the likes of Colectivo Coffee, Intelligentsia, Four Barrel, Sightglass, 49th Parallel, and more. Readers in Australasia can find out more about where and when to cup these beauties by following La Marzocco Australasia on Facebook.
