With the cooler air mercifully moving it, it’s about time for a fall fit check. Is your wardrobe properly prepared for autumnal adornment? Have you color-coded your lewks according to the various hues of the falling leaves? Luckily, for all you hypebaristas out there, Nike‘s Jordan Brand has announced a new coffee colorway for their Air Jordan 1 Elements.
The shoes news comes our way thanks to Hypebeast, who states that the “Legend Coffee” is the latest in the brand’s iconic high-top silhouette. The new color palette contains “legend sand, legend coffee, and medium olive” as the main shades the nubuck leather upper, reminiscent of a winter boot but with a sportier, streetwear makeover.
Built to more than just look good, the Legend Coffee Air Jordan 1 Elements features a waterproof Gore-Tex liner in the upper to help keep your feet dry amid whatever slushy wintry mix you find yourself having to trod through. And with it getting darker earlier, the sneaker also features 3M reflective accents in the swoosh logo as well as the tongue label.
But be ye ware, those of you looking to go ‘beastin on a budget, because the Legend Coffee colorway is expected to retail for $200. They are expected to be available at select retailers and online at Nike.com starting in February of next year.
Admittedly, even as someone deeply uncool and prohibitively incapable of looking cool in high-top sneakers, I desperately want to make these work. Will it? Probably not. Am I going to drop 200 bones foolishly chasing that pipe dream anyway? That I’m currently trying to remember StockX password for the inevitable resell points to a resounding yes.
