The London Coffee Festival—a dizzying dreamscape of auto-foamers, compostable pods, mad coffee mods, chill DJ sets, and butter bacchanalias—has come and gone, but the party continues in the guise of UK Coffee Week, a charitable fundraiser endeavor uniting coffee shops across the country. These events help raise funds for Project Waterfall, a charitable foundation dedicated to supplying clean drinking water in coffee growing regions.

A full list of participating shops is available here, and events will go on around the United Kingdom through April 16th, but there’s a very special event happening tomorrow night in East London that merits mention. Hosted by Origin Coffee—home of 2016 UK Barista Champion Dan Fellows—the event takes place Thursday evening, April 13th at 7pm, with the promise of delicious cocktails, a thought-provoking chat with UK Coffee in Good Spirits champ Paul Ross, and a convivial atmosphere raising funds for Project Waterfall.

Here’s more on the event from the team at Origin Coffee:

An evening of coffee cocktail chats and tastings with Paul Ross, the UK Coffee In Good Spirits Champion, Joshua Tarlo Origin’s Head of Coffee and Chris Watson from Chase Vodka.

The evening will kick off with introductions from Paul Ross. Paul’s routine in UKCIGs focussed on food nostalgia; One of the delicious cocktails that saw him reign supreme was a representation of Lemon, Orange & Lavender Cake, evoking the nostalgia of his Grandma’s baking. This is what you can expect from the evening.

Paul will be chatting about coffee cocktails and the competition ahead of the World championships in June. Joshua Tarlo, Origin’s Head of Coffee will then be chatting about sourcing the incredible coffee that Paul will be using at the Worlds, including tastings. But, of course, coffee is only a part of the story; Chris Watson of Chase Distillery will be joining the team to chat about the provenance of the spirits. All of these open discussions will be accompanied by tastings, followed by further cocktails.

The event starts at 7pm at Origin Coffee’s Shoreditch cafe and training center, located at 65 Charlotte Road, Shoreditch, EC2A 3PE.
