This coming Friday, September 27th, is the kick-off a momentous weekend in the Los Angeles area, centered around the Barista Nation LA event happening Saturday, September 28th. What better way humanly imaginable to ring in a weekend of fun than to begin partying on Friday night? You’re right, there is no better way, and we just so happen to have got you covered.
Sprudge.com is partnering up for shenanigans with the crew at Handsome Coffee Roasters, who’ve graciously offered to host an open house public hang out from 7pm-10pm on the Friday night of Barista Nation weekend. Handsome’s gone through some recent growth, and this open house is a chance for you to meet and talk turkey with Charlie Habegger, Handsome’s new Director of Coffee. You may know Mr. Habegger previously from his 2013 North Central Regional Barista Competition win last year. Guests can expect food from Guerilla Tacos, as well as new Handsome coffees to try from Kenya, Nicaragua and Honduras. You also may or may not also be able to try some interesting libations, although it’s best to keep these things in vague terms, as the Vice Squad might literally, actually be watching. Apparently we still live in the days of “LA Confidential.”
Come and join Your Sprudge Editors and the folks from Handsome this Friday, September 27th for an open house meet & greet, which, depending on your own provenance, may inevitably turn into a bit of slap & tickle. We can only hope so, and we’ll see you there.
