With the regional round of competition for the 2025 US Coffee Championships now complete, all eyes are turning to the national stage. Last week, the USCC announced that the US Roasters Championship would kick things off at Roastronix headquarters in Houston in early February. And yesterday, January 13th, the USCC released host information for four more national competitions. We’re heading to Raleigh-Durham, y’all!
Taking place in late February and early March, the four national competitions will be spread out over the course of two weekends. First up is Durham, with the US Brewers Cup, Latte Art Championship, and Coffee in Good Spirits competition. The three events will hosted by Fortuna and will occur February 20th through 23rd. Then two weeks later, March 6th through 9th, in Raleigh, the US Barista Championship will be held at Black and White Coffee’s roasting space.
US Cup Tasters, the only competition with a national event yet to be confirmed, will be announced in the coming weeks, per the USCC.
It’s hard to believe but we are less than a month from crowning the first US Coffee Champion of the 2025 season. And that’s just the start. Then comes a steady stream of events through March, culminating in Houston the following month, with the SCA Expo that will play host of the first World Coffee Championship of the year, the World Roasting Championship.
