Frankenstein Release Party
ROTTERDAM- On March 22, 2025, Man Met Bril Koffie reveals Frank, the world’s first and only espresso machine of its kind, at their new Coffee Hotel in Rotterdam. Expect a full day of celebration with dinner and a tattoo flash, all infused with the spirit of Frankenstein.
INTRODUCING FRANK- Crafted by the mad-scientist himself, Kees van der Westen, and brought to life by Man Met Bril Koffie, Frank is an espresso machine that redefines what’s possible in the world of coffee. This five-group espresso machine combines three infusion and extraction methods into one powerful unit. Frank is a blend of tradition and innovation. The lever groups bring a modern take to the classic design, with lowflow infusion, diminishing extraction pressure, and a smooth pressure build-up thanks to adjustable spring pressure and a progressive pre-infusion cylinder (PPIC). The machine also features Idro-Matic technology, allowing for an extended pre-infusion phase to stabilize the coffee puck and prevent channeling, delivering a more controlled extraction. A
BOLD EXPERIMENT: FRANKENSTEIN Inspired by the literary icon, Frankenstein is a bold experiment—a fusion of different parts brought together to create something new. Frank is the most beautiful, ugly espresso machine you’ll ever see—audacious, imperfect, and gigantic, stretching 180cm in width. THE EVENT Join us on March 22, 2025, for a day of coffee and celebration. Illustrator & tattoo artist Lizer van Hattem designed Frank’s side panels. He has invited his friends from here and abroad for a flash during the day. Walk-ins only, so come early and get a tattoo inspired by Frankenstein’s madness.
