CoffeeRatings.com Does Seattle

Greg Sherwin, the longtime guru behind the San Francisco-based CoffeeRatings.com, took a recent trip to the city of Seattle. He visited most of the usual suspects in the Seattle coffee scene, ranting and ranking them accordingly, and coming up with some surprising conclusions. Which shop offers “arguably the best retail espresso shot we’ve formally reviewed in the U.S.”? Which much-loved Seattle newcomer came off as “disappointingly weak”? And where, if you only had one guess, do you think Greg encountered baristas who lived up to “pain-in-the-ass negative stereotypes”?

Check it all out, complete with rankings, over at TheShot from CoffeeRatings.com

*Editors note: Next time you’re in town, check out some of the neat stuff going on at a few of the smaller places in Seattle, like Equal Exchange in Ballard or Kuma Coffee in Wallingford. Seattle’s very own Disloyalty Card would make for a great place to start planning your next trip.
