Do you have ideas? Do you have free time? If the answer both is yes, the chance is yours to earn some sweet, sweet coin thanks to Chobaniโs new โI Dream of Creamerโ flavor contest, with the winner taking home a cool $75,000.
Known mostly as a yogurt company, Chobani has recently leaned in heavily to the coffee market, over the past few months releasing oat milks, ready-to-drink coffee beverages, and other coffee ephemera. This is isnโt the brandโs first foray into coffee, though. Back in 2015, Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya became the sole investor and majority owner of Philadelphiaโs La Colombe. And now that Chobani is getting into the creamer game, they need our help to cream creatively.
With the I Dream of Creamer flavor contest, Chobani is asking us regular folk to come up with our most creative creamer flavors, and one of them will actually make it onto their lineup. There are some restrictions. The flavor must โbe made with only natural ingredients including farm-fresh cream, real milk, and real cane sugar.โ Along with each flavor submission, contestants must include a list of โkey ingredientsโ as well as a short essay โdescribing how the entrant drew inspiration for the proposed flavor.โ
Chobani will then narrow down the list to just three, based on commercial feasibility and customer appeal. The final three will then be put to a public vote, with the winning flavor going into production and earning the creator a cool $75,000. The second- and third-place finalists will take home $15,000 and $10,000, respectively, for their troubles.
We here at Sprudge are flavor fanatics, so we came up with a few ideas to help you get the creative juices flowing. Our flavor concepts range from throwback favorites to high art to maybe a little too real. Just know that we are setting the bar pretty pretty pretty high, so if you want to clear it, you better limber up.
