A Cup For Hot Or A Cup For Cold? Can’t It Be Both?

splitflask splitflask

You know those tumblers that are like, two tumblers, you know? Well if you don’t, then let me introduce you to Splitflask, a new insulated travel cup that allows you to carry a cold beverage and a hot beverage at the same time, and it’s live on Kickstarter now.

Splitflask is essentially two cups rolled into one 40oz package. On one side, you’ve got 20oz of cold beverage, and on the other, you’ve got 20oz of hot. Or if you’re like me, you’ve got 20oz of hot on one side and 20oz of a different hot on the other. Because after I have my morning coffee I want my second morning coffee.

Each of the insulated chambers is kept separate, meaning no temperature bleed from one side to the other, leading to two lukewarm liquids. It’s dishwasher safe and features a dual-lid system, a coffee-type lid for the hot side and a straw-compatible opening for the cold side.

The Splitflask has even garnered the attention of one Drew Barrymore, most remembered for role of Sugar, half of the Sugar & Spice tandem that were part of Two Face’s crew in the 1995 film Batman Forever. Which is to say she understands a thing or two about duality.

With a little over three weeks left in the campaign, the 40oz Splitflask has over doubled its $10,000 goal, but there are still rewards aplenty for would-be backers. Fro just $47 ($32 off the $79 MSRP), you can snag a Splitflask in the color of your choice as well as a straw and spout lid and a double straw lid. (But where’s the double spout lid?!?) Rewards could start shipping out as early as May, but “due to tariff uncertainties,” it may be more like August.

So until then, you’ll just have to double fist your hot and cold drinks. Or two hot drinks if you’re me. I’m seeing double here, four coffees!
