Milestones are always worth celebrating. Maybe you’ve got a killer streak going on a language learning app or you just hit a significant new PR at the gym. Maybe it’s been a month since you decide to quit smoking or drinking. There are milestones big and small and they remind us of the work we have put into something we care about. So when the dial turns over to zero, or maybe a few zeroes, it’s a big deal. Thus they are worth celebrating.
La Marzocco certainly thinks so. That’s why they have the True Artisan Club. Coming to America for the first time, the True Artisan Club celebrates cafes pulling lots of shots as well as the machines that keep on trucking.
Announced today, February 17th, the True Artisan Club honors those cafes who are in it for the long haul, celebrating milestones of 500,000, one million, two million, three million, and four millions shots pulled. Each marked will be commemorated with a memento for both the machine’s owner as well as the machine itself, a keychain for the owner and a magnetic badge for the machine.
Along with high mileage machines, the True Artisan Club celebrates the espresso machines that have stood the test of time, including “Linea Classics, GS, GS2, Small, and machines produced before 1970 that are 15, 20, 25, and 30 years old.”
Coinciding with the launch, La Marzocco has created a video and blog post highlighting Nashville’s Crema Coffee Roasters, whose Linea PB at their downtown cafe has pulled an incredible 4.2 million shots.
To join the True Artisan Club, US-based cafe owners a photo to Instagram of their shot counter if they have a GB5 or newer or the data plate if they have a Linea Classic or older. Tag @LaMarzocco.USA and send them a DM for easy follow-up.
Of course, the True Artisan Club isn’t open to just cafe owners. Industrious home users are more than welcome to give it a go. All you’ll need to do is pull five shots a day for juuuuuuuust under 274 years and you’ll have earned your 500,000 shots pulled badge.
So if your cafe has been pulling 500 espressos a day on a workhorse Linea for the last six years, then you’ve already earned your million shots badge. Join the True Artisan Club and celebrate the milestone.
