Madrid, Spain – February 5, 2026 – In just a few days, within the framework of CoffeeFest Madrid 2026, the second edition of Coffee Summit will take place. This specialized forum will bring together international leaders from the coffee industry to discuss the major challenges facing the sector. The event will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, and will focus on the central theme: “Europe Without Green Coffee: Myth, Risk, or Imminent Reality?”

Coffee Summit was created as a space for high-level reflection, analysis, and dialogue, designed for professionals seeking to understand the current context of the coffee market and anticipate the changes that will shape the future of the industry. Throughout the day, experts will address key topics such as the implementation of the EUDR regulation, market volatility, challenges at origin, traceability, sustainability, and other trends redefining the coffee value chain.

Key topics on the Coffee Summit 2026 agenda include:

  • Current market conditions and rising costs: Who is paying the price for green coffee today? Speaker: Albert Scalla, StoneX
  • EUDR implementation: Barrier or opportunity? Panel: Montse Prieto, AE Café, and Eileen Gordon, European Coffee Federation
  • CVA Essentials: Certifications, traceability, and regenerative agriculture. Speaker: Andrés Montenegro, Specialty Coffee Association (SCA)
  • Coffee as an essential daily energy source. Speaker: Rafael de Mello, iCona
  • Same bean, different destination: Lessons from commercialization. Panel: Roasters, producers, and exporters
  • Labor market panel. Led by: Coffee Summit Organizing Committee
  • The future of coffee in Europe. Panel: Latin American producers, importers, and machinery manufacturers

The Coffee Summit 2026 program has been curated by a globally recognized organizing committee made up of key industry figures, including:

  • Blanca Avendaño, founder of Nena Selected Coffee and member of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance;
  • Pascale Schuit, Head of Ethical Sourcing at Union Hand-Roasted Coffee;
  • Andrés Montenegro, sustainability leader within the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA);
  • Juan Luis Barrios, General Manager of Handelsa, former president of Anacafé (Guatemala’s National Coffee Association), and former president of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA); and
  • Ricardo Oteros, co-founder and president of Supracafé and National Coordinator of the Spanish Chapter of the SCA.

For César Ramírez, the creative mind behind Coffee Summit, the event plays a key role within the festival: “CoffeeFest is much more than a trade show, and Coffee Summit is a reference point for anyone who wants to truly understand coffee. That’s why, for me, it’s essential that it remains a must-attend event and a benchmark for the industry.”

Coffee Summit 2026 is aimed at roasters, importers, producers, traders, associations, institutions, and professionals seeking to understand how to adapt to a new reality shaped by regulatory changes, cost pressures, and evolving markets.

With this second edition, Coffee Summit consolidates its position as one of the most relevant spaces for analysis and debate within the European coffee sector, reinforcing CoffeeFest Madrid’s commitment to going beyond exhibition by fostering knowledge, conversation, and informed decision-making.

Admission to Coffee Summit 2026, which includes access to all three days of CoffeeFest Madrid under the professional pass, is priced at 80 and can be purchased HERE.
