In the past months, wildfires have ravaged both Northern and Southern California. In Northern California alone, one insurer has already received an estimated $1.2 billion in claims. Weโve covered California fire relief efforts over on Sprudge Wine, and now coffee is getting in the action. Ukiahโs Black Oak Coffee Roasters and Healdsburgโs Olam Specialty Coffee importers have created Seedling: A Blend For Recovery, with 100% of the profits going to the victims of the North Bay fires.
Seedling features a mix of a natural processed Ethiopia Guji from Kayon Mountain and a Guatemela from Palo Blanco in Huehuetenango, both of which were donated to Black Oak by Olam. From Black Oakโs press release:
The blend is available for purchase for $14 through Black Oakโs web store. More information about Seedling: A Blend For Recovery can be found on Black Oakโs blog. If youโre still trying to decide on a gift for this holiday season, consider giving Seedling. Blends are always crowd pleasers, $14 is a more than reasonable price, and itโs for a good cause. Itโs a win-win-win.
