Online Silent Auction to Benefit Coffee Farmers
Food 4 Farmers, a non-profit that works on hunger in the world’s coffee lands, is auctioning off unique experiences as part of its annual Harvest Festival fundraiser this summer.
The online silent auction, which is now live, features overnight stays at lakefront vacation homes or Hotel Vermont in Burlington, a day of golf at Sugarbush Resort, private sailing and fishing excursions on Lake Champlain, passes to the waterpark at Jay Peak, and Mad River Glen lift tickets, among other very Vermont adventures.
If upcoming travel plans don’t include a trip to New England, coffee lovers can get a taste of the state by bidding on a Dakin Farm Breakfast Basket or virtual lessons at King Arthur Baking Company. One lucky bidder will win a pair of Stöckli Edge TR touring skis, a $1400 value.
Food 4 Farmers was founded in 2011 to address los meses flacos, or “the thin months” between harvests when coffee farmers often experience food insecurity. The organization’s fifth annual Harvest Party and Silent Auction will be held August 30 in Shelburne, Vermont.
This is the first year the silent auction is taking place online and at the event. Bids will be accepted online until 5:30 pm EST on August 30, 2026.
