Hey, remember that time over 800 cafes raised nearly half a million dollars for the ACLU? That was really something, wasnโt it? Well, if youโre not done buying coffee for a cause (and live in the Los Angeles area), then get ye out to Rustic Canyon Park in Santa Monica tomorrow for Bake & Gather!
Hosted by Caffe Luxxe, Rusticoffee, and Huckleberry Bakery, Bake & Gather is happening from 9:00am to 12:00pm and will feature coffee, pastries, mugs, and shirts for sale. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Southern California chapter of the ACLU and Public Counsel, the largest pro bono law firm in America. Bake & Gather is the first in a series of community events Caffe Luxxe is hoping to put on in the coming year.
And if the morning hours are a little too early for you chic, late-partying types, Caffe Luxxe will be donating 10% of all Saturday cafe sales to the aforementioned causes. You can still be fashionably late AND fashionably woke! Itโs a win-win.
So go buy some coffee and a pastry. And maybe a shirt too. Itโs for a good causeโฆ more than just helping your chilled torso.
