This is my home bar. The home for my daily rituals.
I separate my bar in sections. The left side is dedicated for pour-overs featuring the Xbloom (for a lazy day). The Weber Workshops KEY II Onyx is my favorite to use for pour-overs. The Fellow Stagg EKG Pro Studio with custom walnut handle and top on an Optical Blitz custom stand to fit the Acaia Pearl S scale with a prolog walnut top, a Brewers Log Book, a custom matte black dosing tubes, RDT bottle, brush, dosing cups, and a walnut pen. Next to the Stand I have a walnut cup holder with small tools like 3 stirring sticks from Kruve, demitasse spoons, dosing spoon, matte black scissors and a brass fountain pen. next is the Orea V3 with a custom Polog walnut stand and a Timemore decanter a matte black origami dripper on a Holzklotz brass and walnut stand.
The espresso side is set on the right side of the bar with the La Marzocco GS3 with K.H. Würtz ceramic cups, and the Weber Workshops EG-1 Onyx as the most stunning and eye catching parts of the bar. The GS3 comes with a custom walnut set, black legs and a custom drip tray for the Acaia Pearl. The knock box is on the back right side of the bar and the puck prep station sits in ftont of it with the Normcore matte black spring tamper and the Acaia matte black dosing cup. Both walnut one from La Marzocco and the other from Saint Anthony Industries. right next to the bar I use a black and walnut Yamazaki condiment cart. on top of it I have a Weber Workshops bean cellar and the Weber Workshops Moonraker for WDT. The rest of the cart has condiments, a leather recipe book, pitchers, the electric Fellow Products Vacuum Canister, matcha, hojicha, among other stuff. One of my favorite parts of the condiment cart is the handle for my bar towel.
In the back wall of the espresso side of the bar I have a set of custom 3D printed portafilter holders with an all black Normecore portafilter and the Unifilter from Weber Workshops. The walnut floating shelf has a couple of books (the history of La Marzocco and the James Hoffman “How to make the best coffee at home”). On top lives my Black Fellow Products French Press and E&B Lab Matte Black Moka Pot. on the left side of the shelf is the black Timemore Cold Drip brewer with two custom made black cups from Match in LA and a plant holder with dried eucalyptus to bring in some subtle green to the bar along side a black pot with a cactus.
The art work next to it is a print of an artwork done by David Salinas for La Marzocco (I have this tattooed in my left arm). The side bookshelves are walnut to match the rest of the bars aethetic. The right bar has alcohol, bitters, mixers and minerals. The left bar has coffee related books, coffee magazines, a Chemex a tiny Stagg kettle, a traditional roman scale, a Bripe, some coffee playing cards, the Mahlkonig Leggo EK43 and X54, alongside some other coffee miniatures as well as some art and photography memorabilia.
The drawers of the bar are also separated the same way. The left drawers have most of my pour-over related gear such as Sibarist filters, brewers, ceramic and cupping cups, decanters, coffee, tea, tea brewing gear and some hand grinding gear. The right side has espresso, cappuccino and flat white cups, demitasse spoons, saucers, other tampers, distribution tools, WDT tools, portafilters, and cleaning equipment, etc.
Most of the bar and equipment is black and walnut. I painted the back wall black to allow the bar to bland in to the environment and the back light is meant to give some dimension and depth.
An extra addition to the set up is the Fellow Products Aiden with the Ode grinder with custom walnut for batch brew and black Arke Carbonator 3 on the kitchen. in front of it in the kitchens island I have a black La La Marzocco Linea Mini R with a Mahlkonig EK43S. I’ve been building this bar for the last 10 years. It’s had a few different iterations, but I always new the color scheme and general aesthetic I wanted to go for.
