Coffee culture is for everyone, and to make sure all can enjoy and take part, the field of coffee design plays an important role. Perhaps this looks like making sure your coffee bar can be comfortably enjoyed by guests with mobility needs. Perhaps that means prioritizing an inclusive approach to packaging or print materials, including the use of braille or alternative text and image descriptions. Or maybe your coffee company is focused on supporting those with disabilities, as guests, employees, or both. There are choices every company can make to prioritize inclusivity, and these efforts go a long way.

The Sprudge Design Awards are live now for 2024, and this year we’ve got a special new category, honoring efforts for design inclusivity in the specialty coffee industry. That’s right: we’re searching for examples of design work, from cafe design to digital campaigns to print materials, where inclusivity and accessibility are prioritized, making sure coffee culture can be enjoyed by all. Submissions for this new category are free, and entries are open now through October 11th at our official Sprudge Design Awards website.
