It’s that most wonderful time of the year here at Sprudge, a season for recommending, for sharing, for featuring the most interesting and wonderful coffee giftables from across the international coffee community. This year we’ve got a compendium of guides on deck, from heartfelt recs curated by our editorial staff to a massive guide to holiday seasonal blends and much more. But to kick things off we’re starting by highlighting coffee gifts from our partners at the Sprudge Roaster’s Village, a select collection of outstanding coffee roasters with whom we’re proudly partnered.

We asked these folks to help us curate some of their favorite seasonal offerings for the 2023 gifting epoch. And did they ever deliver! This guide overfloweth with excellent options for anyone in your life who loves delicious coffee.

Now let’s talk about the gifts!

We’re fans of everything they do at Cxffeeblack, the Memphis-based coffee roasting brand headed up by co-founders Bartholomew Jones and roaster Renata Henderson. This holiday season Cxffeeblack has several choice bundles to consider gifting, including the Cxffeeblack Sampler, which comes stocked with a 4oz “dime bag” of the roaster’s flagship Guji Mane coffee, a tin of Guji Mane specialty instant coffee, and a $10 gift card good for any future purchase from Cxffeeblack. Consider applying that credit for a recurring subscription to Cxffeeblack or a pre-order on their upcoming Baile Funk release, part of the Guji Mane Diaspora Collection.

Camber Coffee

Bellingham, Washington’s Camber Coffee have your needs in mind for the 2023 holiday season—in particular, your coffee needs. We absolutely love their unique 7 Days of Camber Box Set, whose format should be familiar to the music geek in your life. (The roaster *did* just collaborate with Death Cab For Cutie, so it all makes sense.) Across 7 glorious days you’ll dig into 7 delicious and distinct coffees, including winter blends like Cambrrrrr and a stunning single origin Guatemala Gesha. This box set ships December 14th.

PERC Coffee

Visually stunning and evocatively themed, PERC’s 2023 Holiday Blend is a darn hoot. It can also be yours in Instant Coffee format. The perfect way to experience it is via this comic-wowzer of a Holiday Gift Box, replete with an oversized epic box set presentation and a snazzy PERC mug in which to enjoy your brew. This art is epic!!

Amavida Coffee

Stocking stuffer coffee bags are *so* in this year, and Amavida is here to deliver on the promise and possibility of the emerging form with a 4oz sock-ready edition of its Holiday Blend. (Please note that the lot number is #ELF.) Elsewhere in Amavidaland there’s a surfeit of subscription options and bountiful brewing options to peruse.

Greater Goods

Speaking of unique offerings, the team at Greater Goods have put together a pretty cool set of options for your holiday wish list. Start with the Holiday Gift Set, which includes a bag of Hill Country Holiday blend plus a tasteful tumbler from Miir. But don’t stop there! Greater Goods are also offering a really fun set of LTO Stocking Stuffers, lil’ 4oz bags of whole bean coffee with unique flavor profiles. And to help put it all together, explore a range of private class options from Greater Goods, perfect for developing your palate and coffee-making skills.

Monogram Coffee

Rare is the brand for which we would wholeheartedly recommend a gift card. But Monogram Coffee of Calgary is just such a situation. Their webstore is packed to the gills with subscriptions, tons of coffee gear, limited edition roaster residencies, educational classesvery good decaf, and a forthcoming barrage of holiday offerings about which you will surely be hearing more in subsequent Sprudge holiday guides. The world’s your oyster, bob’s your uncle, and the gift card is the only sensible option.

Equator Coffees

The design-minded folks at Equator don’t just release a holiday blend: they create a fully realized design ecosystem with stunning art, apparel, a stylish tumbler, and of course some delicious coffee. The 2023 Holiday Blend Collection from Equator is a jaw-dropper, designed in collaboration with illustrator Michael Wertz (chair of the Illustration Program at the prestigious California College of the Arts). We recommend the Gift Set, which includes a stylish tumbler and bag of Holiday Blend, with 5% of sales benefitting the CODECH cooperative in Guatemala.

Madcap Coffee

An outstanding roaster with an outstanding subscription program, Madcap Coffee’s choicest holiday offering is here to keep you drinking well all year round. A Madcap Gift Subscription certainly makes a statement, but we’re also pretty impressed by the roaster’s Best of 2023 Set—because who doesn’t love receiving a box set for the holidays? It’s a pretty incredible collection of coffee producers from around the world. Top off your gift-giving with a custom Madcap carafe. Now you’re brewing in style.

Nightswim Coffee

There’s some really lovely coffees on offer right now from Nightswim Coffee. This includes the Aurora Mensur Abahika Natural, a berries and cream blast that hails from Jimma, Ethiopia—as lively and unique of a coffee as you’re likely to taste this holiday season. That lovely Mensur Abahika is blended into the After Glow Half-Caf alongside the Halo Hartume EA, a decaffeinated coffee that Nightswim calls “our team’s favorite decaf ever.” In combo you’re left with a partially decaffeinated coffee, perfect for after-dinner enjoyment. A whole world of products can be explored at Night Swim’s Holiday Gift Hub, including the Creature Comfort Box Set and much more.

Stumptown Coffee

Stumptown always offers a range of gifting options for the holiday season, and this year is no different. The Holiday Trio Box Set is a charming and substantial option, featuring two blends and a third bag of Guatemala El Injerto Boubon. With all that tasty coffee in your life, you need a stylish option on how to store it, which is where the Stumptown Etched Coffee Canister comes in. Last but certainly not least, we’d be remiss not to mention the revered, exquisite, multi-award-winning El Injerto Pacamara offering, bag again and perfect for gifting to the coffee lover in your life (which may in fact be yourself).

Verve Coffee

Beloved California third wavers Verve Coffee have a plethora of gift options for you to consider this year. Start by perusing the Roaster’s Choice Single Origin subscription, curated by Team Verve to deliver the very best in coffee each month from the brand’s sourcing program. But our eyes can’t help but be drawn to one of the more unique gifts in the holiday pantheon this season: the Magic Moments Candle, a soy wax candle with notes of orange zest, pluot, and honey wine, meant to evoke the experience of drinking Verve’s 2023 Seasonal Holiday Blend. This candle is perfect for someone on your list, I just know it.

Partners Coffee

We’re looking forward to a bundle of coffee this holiday season—and there’s no bundle better than the Bestsellers Bundle from Brooklyn’s Partners Coffee. This tasteful grouping includes not one but two outstanding blends by Partners, alongside a stirring single origin offering, the Colombia El Ramo. Toss in a satchel of Partners Specialty Instant and a bag of the always-popular Miracle on North 6th Street holiday blend and you’ve got a gift set par excellence.

Onyx Coffee Lab

The holiday season is always an event at Onyx. This year the brand’s iconic and beloved Holiday Advent Calendar closed for orders on November 20th, but if you missed that date, don’t fret. A wonderful and slightly creepy box set just dropped, tailor made for I’m guessing at least 2-3 people you know on your holiday list: Scary & Bright is a winning combo of Onyx’s Framily blend—”joyous and bright”—and Onyx’s Krampus blend, which is dark, rich, and only slightly demonic. (Krampus is technically not a demon, but rather a horned pre-Christian folkloric anthropomorph, but I digress.)  And there’s always Onyx’s popular subscription option, which focuses on single origin options and is customizable across several sizes and cadences.
