We are pretty reasonably sure that Instagram user “CalifornianCat” is the real-live Katy Perry. Here's why:
1. She's got around 100,000 followers, which while not exactly in the Zooey Deschanel range, is still a celebrity-status amount.
2. She's posting “behind the scenes” shots from recent studio time in LA, which seems like a very Katy Perry thing to do.
3. Her instagram feed seems largely self-obsessed, which again, seems like a very Katy Perry thing to do.
4. We want to believe.
All of which means this photo is probably legit:
Not sure what the “flat white” bit is about, maybe Katy picked it up on an Australian tour or something? Or maybe her favorite cafe in LA just calls it that. BUT STILL! This is Katy Perry pouring latte art, people. The songstress behind “Firework”, “Teenage Dream”, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” and “I Kissed A Girl” is a coffee nerd! One of us, one of us, gooble gobble gooble gobble!
OK but the REAL question is, did Katy Perry practice that sweet pour in a friend's espresso bar? Or does she have her own home espresso set-up? And if she does have a home set-up, who built this out for her, and what gear does she have? Does she have a latte art coach? ARE YOU KATY PERRY'S LATTE ART COACH?
