Bracketsprology is back! Beware the Ides of March, for this year they bring the Madness! Now in its third year, the very official and totally serious Sprudge Ultimate Coffee Bracket Challenge has returned for another round of heavy favorites, cinderella stories, and thrilling upsets. And here for 2023, the bracket is bigger and better than ever.
We’ve grown the tourney to a full 64 entries, broken down into four categories: Coffee Drinks, Cafe Food, Coffee Cocktails, and Brew Methods. And now we turn to you, dear readers, who are us, to answer this one important question: what is the best coffee thing?
The Sprudge Selection Committee has created an updated, all-new 64 team bracket featuring some of your favorite eats, drinks, and brewers from around the world of coffee. From here it’s up to you, the people, to pick a winner. Your favorite is a wholly personal matter, of course, and the favored match-ups vary wildly from person to person. That’s part of the fun!

There are some heavy favorites in this year’s tourney, and also some sleeper picks to survive and advance. Will it be a Cinderella Story for Ratio Eight? Can the storied program at Macchiato return to its former glory? How about the highly touted 12 seed, Breakfast Tacos? Will anyone be able to take down the juggernaut that is Espresso?
