The 2016 Good Food Awards hosted its gala award event last evening in San Francisco, an annual bacchanalia of dry cured bacons, pickled beets, spoon preserves, and drinking mustards. There were ciders both dry and semi-dry, cheeses from sea to shining sea, and every manner of artisanal oil, be it pumpkin, hazelnut, walnut or shallot—and also some remarkable coffees offered, brewed by the event’s capable coffee service team of volunteers. A fine time (and fine jam) was had by all.
We’ll have a full recap of the evening’s festivities next week, but for now, let us share with you the 17 coffees honored by the Good Food Awards judging panel. We’ve included direct buying links when possible for each of the featured coffees—please note that several of these honored coffees were purchased in small amounts by the roasters, so supplies may be limited, and we’ll update the list as more coffees become available for purchase online. This is a delicious collection of coffees and we highly recommend you play along from home.
