Shopping carts in front of a laptop

As more cafes across the country shutter in the efforts to limit the spread of the Coronavirus and we all wait for much-needed assistance from our elected officials, there are ways you can show your support without leaving your house: calling your local official demanding immediate assistance for every adult and child, dropping a tip in a virtual tip jar, buying gift cards for future purchases, picking up delicious coffees online, and subscribing to a coffee delivery program.

But there’s more! Check with your local coffee roaster and see if they have an online shop. Many, like Portland’s Deadstock Coffee, are opening up online shops this week to offer their typically in-store only goods to a wider audience; others, like Minneapolis’ Dogwood Coffee or Olympia Coffee Roasting Company, have helped define their brand over the last decade by a cool and ever-changing web store.

Over in Durham, North Carolina, the folx at Getchusomegear are selling their merch made for next month’s SCA Expo to support out of work Durham coffee professionals. There’s a limited number of stickers and tees available right now through their Instagram page @getchusomegear.
