Put on your favorite Neon Indian or Toro y Moi record because it’s time to chill. Marco Beverage Systems, makers of the SP9, Mix, and Über Boiler, want you to get splurty with it and come up with your best signature cold drink. It’s part of the Marco Chill Challenge, and the winner takes home a little cold (or chill) hard cash.
Coinciding with the launch of the FRIIA, Marco’s new all-in-one under-counter hot, cold, and sparkling water system, the Chill Challenges is calling all baristas, tearistas, and bartenders to come up with their own signature cold beverage. Drinks must be coffee- or tea-based and non-alcoholic; I’d choose a nice tisane because it would lend itself better to floral, fruity flavors and I’m not creative enough to use coffee.
Once you’ve got your winning quaff, make a 45-second (or shorter) NOT NSFW video describing your drink and providing details for the recipe and share it on Instagram, tagging @marcobeveragesystems and using the hashtag #marcochillchallenge. Then fill out the contact form here and you’re all set!
Per the press release, the winner will receive “€500/$500/£500, a bag of Marco goodies, and a customized Chill Challenge Winner Chemex.” It’s unclear if the prize comes in your currency of choice, which if so the British pound is looking strong right now. But also, Brexit, so maybe the sound financial decision is the Euro.
