Lattes in Australia are served in 7-8oz clear glasses. Cappuccinos are served in ceramic 6oz cups. Flat whites are lattes served in cappuccino cups. The wide mouth of the cappuccino cup gives the impression that there’s less foam than a latte. Tell your friends!
Also, nobody is really sure if it started in New Zealand or Australia, but it seems like a bigger deal to the Kiwis, so it’s probably okay for them to have it.
