Another day, another edition of Can-You-Add-Cold-Brew-To-That?-Yes-You-Can! And for today’s installment: beef jerky. Deer Camp Coffee Roasters has created a cold brew-infused beef jerky.

There is perhaps no greater expression of the cold brew collab duality than beef jerky. On one hand, it just sounds weird. I mean, tasting like meat is generally accepted to be an undesirable quality for a coffee to possess. But a meat that tastes like coffee? Maybe that’s not as bad. Perhaps it’s all just a matter of perspective.

Coffee is a frequent and often-delicious component of a dry rub for meats. And what is jerky if not the cold brew of beef? What I’m saying is, it makes no sense and yet it makes all the sense in the world. If you can pumpkin spice a Spam, I don’t see how cold-brewing a jerky could be any worse.

For their jittery jerky, Deer Camp—who you may have guessed by the name leans heavily on the hunting-forward brand identity—has teamed up with Uncle Henry’s Gourmet Meats. Per a press release, they start off with a 24-hour brew of their “DEER CAMP® Coffee Opening Day™ Coffee Cold Brew” that then gets injected into the beef that will be turned into jerky “for enhanced flavors and tastes.”

However you may feel about it—and I have a feeling you already know which side of the weird vs. wonderful debate you fall on—cold brew-infused beef jerky exists in this world and you can try some for yourself for just $8 for a five-ounce bag via Deer Camp’s official website. And if we’re doing to do this whole cold brew everything thing, let’s do it. No half measures. I’m talking a mega-collaboration between Deer Camp, sweet old Uncle Henry, and Ujjo. I need my cold brew to have coffee hot sauce in it to then infuse the jerky.

Or maybe a cascara jerky could be nice?
