Sprudge.com is the first to report that Coava Coffee Roasters, home to two-time Northwest Regional Barista Competition winner Devin Chapman, have signed a lease for their second coffee bar, to be located at 2625 SE Hawthorne Blvd. It’s not quite build-out status yet; the new building that will house this cafe is currently under construction, and Sprudge.com has the exclusive pics:

This news leads what promises to be a fascinating week of developments for Coava, who are launching a new line of packaging on August 2nd at their iconic original brew bar cafe space, located in the lobby of Bamboo Revolution (1300 SE Grand Ave). Coava has been self-leaking images of their new packing, including this image that adorns the Facebook listing for their August 2nd event:

As if that weren’t enough, August 2nd will also herald an unprecedented collaboration between Coava and Barista PDX, owner Billy Wilson’s growing empire of multiroaster cafes. Mr. Wilson’s Barista cafes will, for the first time ever, be putting their multiroaster model on hold to feature a week of Coava service exclusively, focusing on three of the roaster’s “new harvest” coffees for summer 2013.
